I bought it just to use it wireless. After about a month of use, the bluetooth stopped working. Now I can only use it with a cable.

せっかく買ったスピーカーなのに、買ってひと月でBluetoothが繋がらなくなっちゃったよ。
いまじゃ、ケーブルで接続してるんだ、トホホ。

The speaker stopped charging after two months of use (Christmas present to wife). And now I cannot return it for repair or replacement per return policy (which expired Jan 31!!!!). Should have purchased Jawbone at Costco and use their much better return policy! Look elsewhere for a bluetooth speaker! Update: There is a 1 year warranty, I have sent a request for warranty repair/replacement to Amazon.

The product worked great for the first two days, but the bluetooth stopped working consistently after two days. Even after charging the speaker and removing possible sources of interference, the bluetooth connection would cut out randomly with any device paired to the speaker (we tried several). I ordered a new one, and I hope this will work better. If it works consistently, it would be a good product.

買って2日でダメになっちまったぜ、ベイビー。
すかさずオレは、再注文したってわけ。

They don’t mention it in the site, but this device does not come with a charger, and it has the world’s shorted usb cord. When considering this device, please make sure to add in those costs.

I got this speaker because I was trying out different speakers for my mancave, its is on par with the ones that cost closer to the 30-50$ range. I enjoyed the sound quality, but I liked others like the Photive Cyren and the Hype Stereo Block just as much, and would go with those over this one just because of price

This is the first item that I have ever returned to Amazon. The speaker sounded decent, especially considering the low price. However, the bluetooth connection would cut out intermittently no matter what device I used and no matter how close I stayed to the speaker. So I sent it back and ordered a JBL Charge.

I ordered this really hoping to like it. Be warned it doesn’t get loud at all. I had better sound just through my kindle, and that’s pretty bad. Set up was very easy but I had it packaged back up within 15 minutes to be returned because it was way too quiet.

From previous reviews I expected a little more from this speaker. Having several Bluetooth speakers I was a little disappointing that this speaker had no better sound quality than a much smaller tennis ball size Bluetooth speaker I previously purchased. I have heard better at this price point.

It’s an OK speaker and a good value. But after using it for just a day, I decided to spend more on a better one. Note that the connecting and status sounds are quite loud and do not respect the volume setting. That really bugged me. The sharp edges of the metal case were not friendly. I don’t think you’d injure yourself on them, but it felt retro in an unpleasant way to have those exposed metal corners on a product that is meant to be portable.

i bought this from bestbuy and i was surpised by the quality of the sound for such a little speaker at the beginning . Then I tried it against my bose speaker (yet old) . but then i realized , this is far away from my bose speaker

Other reviews are correct in needing to face the speaker in the right direction but this to me is not an issue. Any speaker I have ever had you need to face in the right direction. The sound; however, is a bit muddy or muffled. You do not pick up a clear crisp sound nor do you get a rich base, but for I wanted it for it works ok.

The device sounds fine and quickly pairs with my iPhone, but it has an interference problem.

When you have the USB power cable attached, playing any audio source through the AUX port picks up a lot of static. If you take out the USB power cable, the static goes away. My theory: the charger creates electromagnetic interference (EMI) that isn’t filtered and ends up being reproduced through the speakers. If you never use the AUX port while keeping it plugged in (or never use the AUX port at all), then you shouldn’t have this problem. I had planned to use this as a desktop computer speaker, but that won’t work in light of this issue.

So I went with three stars. It works just fine, depending on how you use it …

こいつは音も良く、サクッとペアリングできて良いことは良いんだけど、電波の干渉がちと気になるんだな。

Speaker looses bluetooth connection more often than it should and/or takes multiple attempts to pair with my computer/device from close range (I own MacBook Pro and iPod). Sound quality is hardly any better than my MacBook Pro, just louder and with a slight detection of bass. Speaker automatically shuts off after 5 minutes of non-use to preserve battery life, but this requires re-establishing bluetooth connection which can take multiple attempts and become annoying quickly. Speaker only plays audio out of one side and does not project side to side well. Construction is lightweight (weighs about as much as unopened soda can), feels sturdy, but not exceptionally rugged.

Reading through some of these previous reviews, I don’t understand how some people can even compare this speaker to Bose or Jambox. Literally not even in the same category of speaker type – like comparing a Mercedes to a Honda (luxury vs low-cost)… That being said however, the beauty of this speaker is that it is quite cheap. You get what you pay for and if you want something portable and decently loud that you don’t have to worry much about, than this is the speaker for you.

どうやら、複数機器がある場合、Bluetooth接続が不安定になりがちなようだ。
ちなみに、ボクはMacBook ProとiPodを持ってるんだ、(｀・∀・´)ｴｯﾍﾝ!!
使わずに５分経つと、オートパワーオフが機能するんだけど、再度聞きたいときにいちいちBluetoothの接続をし直すのが面倒なんだ。
音が出ているのは基本的に片面だけで、表裏から同時に音が出ているわけじゃないんだ。
作りは程よくしっかりしていて軽量だが、ガッチリ堅牢というほどじゃないんだ。

それから、このスピーカーのいろいろなレビューを見ていて気になるのが、BoseやJamboxと比較していることなんだ。
はっきり言って、このスピーカーとBoseを比較するのは、ホンダ車とメルセデス車を同列で比較するようなものだと思うんだ。
同じなのはスピーカーという点だけであって、まったく的外れだね。
そんな訳だから、安くある程度の品質のBluetoothスピーカーであることをよく理解してから、ポチったらいいんじゃないかな。

If you are looking for a cheaper Jambox then I wouldn’t recommend this speaker. If you are looking for a good portable speaker to use in a small office, kitchen, bathroom, etc then it’s a great speaker for the size and price. Most of my complaints could be settled if there were a way to make settings changes to the speaker.

Pros:

– Price
– Size
– Reasonable battery
– Reasonable sound quality

Cons:

– Turning the speaker on activates a series of really loud beeps. Even if I have the volume tuned down really low this series of beeps is always moderately loud.
– The power management shuts off way too quickly. (see loud beeps which are worse because this shuts half a dozen times a day).

Jamboxが安くてに入ると思って買うと、がっかりしちゃうから、気をつけて。
あくまで、コストに見合ったポータブルスピーカーだよ、ってこと。
このスピーカー（BTV1)で気に入っているのは、充電式でありながらコンパクトさとある程度の音質をこの価格で実現させたこと。
逆に気に入らないのは、音量設定に関係なく、電源オンオフ時の合図がうるさいことと、オートパワーオフの時間設定が短いため、頻繁に電源を入れ直さなければならなくて、その度に起動の合図を聞かされること。
この設定さえ変更できるなら、すばらしいスピーカーなんですけどね。

We have a larger bluetooth speaker that we use around the house. I got this one because it is more portable and has speakerphone capabilities. It is very easy to use, sounds good for music, and the speakerphone works well. Great speaker for the price.

我が家ではもっと大型のBluetoothスピーカーを、庭で使っておるんじゃ。
もっとコンパクトで、ハンズフリー通話ができるものを、とコイツを買ったんじゃ。
使い方は簡単、良い音で音楽を奏で、ハンズフリー通話も順調。
費用対効果はバツグンなんじゃ。

I really have nothing to compare this to but it does what i want it to do. I use it mostly to stream music from my lap top. It has pretty good sound for the price. One thing that is disappointing was the range. The specs say 30 feet but i get about half that. Not sure if that’s the speakers fault or not.

I bought this at the same time as a Bose Mini Soundlink out of curiosity more than anything else. What was I expecting out of a $60 cheapie? Less than this delivers. While not producing the amount of sound that the Bose does (it could use a little more bass), it actually sounds pretty decent. Construction quality is good, and is fairly light. (Lighter than the equivalent JamBox, and MUCH lighter than the Bose) $60 well spent, if you’re looking for something to toss in the backpack, or expecting to take on “rough outings” — and this is coming from a guy who’s rough on his hardware!

Only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the sound isn’t “rich enough” for my tastes, as commented above. Even with that, would definitely buy again, for the money this puppy is hard to beat.

でも違った。
Boseほどじゃないにしろ、しっかり低音は出るし、音の解像度もなかなかのものだよ。

唯一つ、星５つにしていないのは、音の「量感」がボクの好みに合わなかったんだ。

This little Bluetooth speaker is great for my wife in the kitchen. It does not get too loud, but it is used in the kitchen. It can handle a whole lot of base, but otherwise is a very nice unit and well worth the money

INTRODUCTION

With the plethora of bluetooth sound systems on the market it is intriguing as to why Amazon decided to throw their hat in the rink.
It’s a bit of an odd decision on their part and outside the norm for their product line. After receiving this speaker and spending some time with it, I can see why they did so. It definitely outperforms for it’s price point.

DESIGN

This is a simple, yet elegant speaker brick. It looks similar to many of the BT speakers on the market (i.e. Mini Jambox, Jlab Crasher, Braven 600, ect.). It s a mainly black, plastic box with metallic speaker grills on the front and back. The right side of the speaker contains the power button, micro USB charging port, and aux input. The left side is plain. All the controls for the speaker are located on the top of the device, as well as a somewhat bright power/connection button that blinks red when the speaker is powered on and no device is connected and is solid blue when one is. I’ve seen a few complaints about the brightness of this LED light. It doesn’t really bother me, but for a quick fix you could place a piece of electrical tape over it. One little quirk I found is that the red LED still blinks after the the blue LED illuminates. If you look closely you can see it while the blue LED is on. This really isn’t a big deal, just a minor quirk.

The AB speaker does appear a bit cheaper than my Braven 600 BT speaker I still really like it’s design. It isn’t flashy, but at the same time it is nice looking. It will blend in nicely with most of your electronics and decor.

FEATURES

For a full list of feature see the product listing on Amazon. I would just like to highlight a couple that I find particularly useful.

To begin, I like the fact that this speaker has control buttons for both volume AND track back and forward. This is not the case for many BT speakers on the marker. My Braven 600, for example, requires that you hold down the volume up or down button for a second in order to control the tracks. I find this annoying and appreciate that the AmazonBasics speaker has direct track control buttons.

Another handy feature is the included speakerphone. This will come in handy when I’m using the speaker in another room (the bathroom for example) from my phone and need to answer a call. I tested this feature and, although it was not amazing, it did function adequately. It’s not something I would use all the time, but works in a pinch.

As far as what’s included in the box the accessories are, well, basic. You get the speaker, instruction booklet and a micro USB to USB charging cable. There is not aux cable or wall charger included. This is ok since most of us have these accessories lying around our house in droves. If you don’t have a USB to AC adapter be sure to pick one up when you order this speaker. Amazon sells them for less than $6.

SOUND QUALITY

So, how does a $60 speaker from Amazon sound? Pretty good actually. I would say that it outperforms many speaker I’ve heard in this price range and above. Thought it not amazing sound and falls short of something such as the Bose Sounlink, it is still very functional and even impressive at times.

I spent several hours listing to this speaker with all types of music. After connecting my iPhone 4S via bluetooth I fired up some Brian Setzer Orchestra. Vocals on “This Old House’ were clean and clear. Highs and lows were there, though not amazing. At least, the brass section did not sound distorted or harsh.

I then switched to some Capital Lights. With it’s hard-hitting bass line, “Rhythm N’. Moves” was a good candidate for testing out the AmazonBasics BT speaker. Bass was there, but it was nothing earth-shatting. I wasn’t expecting it would be with a speaker this size. Again, I noticed that the higher frequencies were a little lacking and certain tones were unmistakably missing.

After playing several tracks on the AmazonBasics speaker I decided to do a little comparison. I connected both the AmazonBasics BT speaker and my Braven 600 to my iPhone and began switching between the speakers while listening to various tracks. One observation I made right away was that the sound coming from the AB speaker was not as full as that coming from the Braven. Frequencies in the 10,000-20,000Khz range were not as clear as those on the Braven. However, the AB speaker did produce slightly more bass. I would characterize the Braven’s sound as bright and the AB’s as warm. I preferred the Braven over the AB because it sounded slightly more natural and produced a slightly better sound stage. That is, however, not to say that the AmazonBasics sound was horrible.

Also, I would have to give the edge in loudness to the AB speaker. It produced slightly less distorted sound at higher volumes than the Braven. Right now the Braven 600 BT speaker is going for around $85 on Amazon so it is slightly more expensive than the AB speaker.

SUMMERY

To summarize I would say that the AmazonBasics Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a very good speaker for $60. Although not amazing, it does have decent sound that will do the job in most cases. I only gave it four stars because of a few issues in sound reproduction. I am, however, unapologetically an audiophile. The less critical listener may not even notice these issues. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the either the Braven 600 or Mini Jambox give the this speaker a shot. I think it sounds almost as good as the Mini Jambox–if not better–and is almost half the price!

このスピーカーはすでに市場にあるBluetoothスピーカーと同様なスタイルを持っている。
グリルは金属、筐体はプラスチックで艶のある塗装。本体右側にメインスイッチとUSB、オーディオ端子があり、反対側には何もない。
デジタルデバイス側だけでなく、スピーカー側でもある程度の操作が可能。
LEDライトが明るすぎるというクレームも有るみたいだが、テープを貼ったりすれば、緩和できる。
LEDが青や赤に点灯するのが気まぐれな感じもあるが、大した問題でもない。

Braven 600 BTが一番のお気に入りで、これに比べるとちょっと安っぽく見える。
派手さはないものの、どんなデジタルデバイスとも調和するデザインと言えるだろう。

特長について

機能の詳細はサイトのスペックを参照して欲しい。
私はちょっと役立つポイントをお伝えしたい。

まずこのスピーカーは音量だけでなく、曲送りも操作ができる。
実はこの両方が操作できるBluetoothスピーカーは多くはない。
できるとしても、機能切り替えボタンを押す必要があったりして、操作が煩雑になりがちだ。
だから、この操作性は特筆すべき点だ。

スピーカーフォン（ハンズフリー通話）機能も便利だ。
つまり、入浴中に音楽を楽しんでいる最中に電話がかかってきても、スピーカーが浴室にさえあれば、電話に出られるんだ。

また、付属品のシンプルさも潔いものだ。
本体の他には、充電用のUSBケーブルと取説のみ。
オーディオケーブルや充電用コンセントは、いまどき家中に転がっているから、無い方が親切だ。
もちろん、持っていない人は一緒に注文するのを忘れないで欲しい。

音質について

Amazonの60ドルのスピーカーは、どれほどの音質なのか。
結論から言うと、かなり良い音がする。
もちろん、比較対象はどう価格帯のスピーカーであって、Boseのそれとは比べ物にならない。
ただし、機能面では勝る部分もある。

たとえばブライアン・セッツァー・オーケストラの「This Old House」はボーカルに透明感があり、清々しく聞こえた。
高音から低音までしっかり出ているし、ブラスセクションで音の歪みや破綻を感じることもなかった。

重低音の効いた音楽はどうだろうか。
“Rhythm N’. Moves”はこのスピーカーをテストするのにうってつけのソースだ。
低音はしっかり出るものの、圧倒的な音圧を出力するわけではない。
とはいっても、このサイズでこれだけ低音が出れば上出来だろう。
高音が鳴らしきれていないことと、特定の高さの音は苦手のようだ。

また、このスピーカーとBravenとを交互に鳴らし、音質を比較してみた。
比べてみてはっきりしたのは、やはりBravenの方が全体的に高音質であることだ。
一方で、低音の厚みは、Amazonの方に軍配が上がる。
Amazonのスピーカーが悪いわけではないにしろ、Bravenの方がわたしの好みに合っていた。

Amazonのスピーカーはボリュームを上げた時、若干音が歪んだようだった。
Bravenではそういうことがなかったのだが、これが60ドルと85ドルの差なのだろう。

総評

総合的に判断して、AmazonベーシックのBluetoothスピーカーは60ドルという価格に対して、大変コストパフォーマンスが高いと言える。
驚くほどでないにしろ、各評価要素は及第点だ。
私が星4つの評価にしたのは、音質の面で気になる部分があったからだが、臆面もなくいえば私はオーディオマニアであることを付け加えておく。
このBluetoothスピーカー（BTV1)と競合するスピーカーは、Braven 600かmini Jamboxだろうし、と同時に脅威ともなるだろう。
なぜなら、mini JAMBOXの半額にもかかわらず、同等の音を奏でるからだ。
（amazon.comでの価格です）

This is small. Smaller than I imagined even knowing the dimensions. Works and functions perfectly. Sound is good for one room. The bass is not anywhere near great, but for the price it is a good option for what our needs were. Would have paid $20 more for a larger slightly better sounding model if it were available.

I tried some other small bluetooth devices here and they had decent sound but the battery lasted an hour at most, so what is the point right? This is a solid unit with good sound and still small enough to easily move from room to room. Good price point too.

Only “gripe” is the auto shut off feature which to be fair is save battery life. 6 minutes with no sound (wire or Bluetooth) and it shuts itself off and doesn’t come back till you move the switch. It may not be fair to ding it one star for that but I was hoping to use this as a wake up alarm with my ipod and that is never going to happen. I guess I can see it with Bluetooth (uses more battery power for the connection) but not with the wired hook up too.

I use this to play music for a timed event, and then wanted an alarm to play music. No dice. I had to create a sound which is nearly silent to trick it so it won’t shut off. This works,,

5 stars if the auto shut off was for the bluetooth only and not on the wired usage.

ちょっと不満だな、って思うのは、自動で電源が切れること。それ自体は、バッテリーの無駄使いがなくて良いことだと思うんだけど、自動で電源がオフになった場合は、スイッチを手動で入れてあげないと復帰しないのが不便なんです。
だから、目覚まし用にこのスピーカーを使おうとしても役に立たないんです。
オーディオケーブルでつないでいても、同じでした。

私はこのスピーカーから、タイマーを使って音を出したらリ、目覚まし代わりに使いたかったんですけど、ダメだったのでションボリしてます。もし、オーディオケーブルでつないでいるときは自動で電源がオフにならなかったら、星５つにしても良かったんだけどな。

Having a speaker like this eliminates the need to install speakers in rooms where you want your music. Just take it and put it where you need it, then move it if you have to. It’s definitely worth it compared to the Jambox, which is more than twice the price.

Most reviewers have thoroughly reviewed this product and I just got it last week. Great sound, reasonably Sturdy and simple pleasing rectangular look. My primary purpose was to take conference calls from my phone (than listening to music). For me mute button seems like a must on the speaker, rather than muting the phone, So I don’t have to manage two devices on hour long calls. My rating is 4.5.

It doesnt sound as good as the Bose mini bluetooth, but for $150 less– it is well worth it. It still sounds pretty good. ALso, very easy to use and set up with phone. Also, has pretty good range. Also, its a little smaller than i thought it would be- But for the size, it has great sound, and great value

ガッチリ頑丈だし、電池のもちも良いし、激マブって感じ。

I just received this little mite of a speaker today. When I saw how small it was I thought I’d be sending it back. That is until I easily paired it with my iPhone and played music in literally a few seconds.

It really packs a great sound. Sure, it’s no Bose speaker but it costs 1/3 as much. I just wanted a fun speaker to listen to on the porch and deck in the Summer. This little speaker is perfect. For $59 you cannot go wrong. Don’t forget to order the a/c USB charger or you’ll be using your mac to charge it. I will say that I have an old camera recharger that would have worked with this but, what the hey.

Highly recc’d …. Go for it if you want some good sound for summer fun!

こんなに小さいスピーカーとは思ってもいなかったから、返品しようと思ってたんですね。
でも、iPhoneと繋いで音を出したら、180度考えが変わっちゃったんです。

本当に素晴らしい音が出てびっくりしたんです。
BoseのSoundlinkにはかなわないかもしれませんが、値段が1/3なんだから、当然ね。
夏になったら、ベランダで音楽を聞きたくて買ったんですけど、このスピーカーを買ってホント大満足してる。
しかもこれでたったの59ドルしかしないなんてね。

そうそう、充電器は付いてないから、USB充電用のコンセントを持っていない人は、一緒に買ってね。
PCからも充電はできるけど、ちょっと面倒ね。

ちなみに、古いカメラ用の充電器を使ってみたんだけど、うまくいかなかったってことも付け加えておくわ。

夏も音楽をエンジョイしまくりたいなら、このスピーカーがイチバンのお供になるわ！！

I’m impressed by the sound and volume this small inexpensive speaker is able to produce at such a reasonable price. It’s no match for any of the high end portable Bluetooth speakers but a value for the price. Plus it has held up to the pounding of traveling in my backpack throughout the unforgiving airports and bus terminals of South America.

Great Sound, excellent for the money! Not for listeng at a distance, it’s mostly for closed rooms or quiet spaces in the open, as the sound is great but they are not too powerful.

Batteries have a pretty decent life between charges. The speakers are loud and clear enough to be heard while driving and in a noisy kitchen.

After a very frustrating couple of weeks, with no product delivered, I was on the verge of making heads roll. On March 12, 2014, I placed an order for a similar but different Bluetooth speaker which never arrived. When I called Amazon and inquired as to why it showed the product had been delivered when it clearly had not, the gentleman who assisted me (Amazon rep.) suggested a replacement speaker, with an upgrade product and that if it was okay with me, he would place the order and have it shipped overnight express. I was both thrilled and appreciative. Long story short, that speaker was never delivered either. I gave it a few days just in case I misunderstood the shipping details. The following days came and went with no deliveries. I then was involved in a car accident and, honestly, wasn’t too interested in dealing with this issue. When I was able to focus enough to contact Amazon, I again explained my situation to the Amazon rep. And while she placed another order for a replacement, she was not willing to work out an agreeable term for shipping stating the best she could do was to have it arrive within 5 days. Since I really didn’t have any other option, I went ahead and excepted the terms. When I hung up and thought about it, I decided that no, this was not acceptable, so I called Amazon back, explained the whole situation again to yet another Amazon rep, he immediately changed the order to over night shipping.

Now, finally I have a product to review. And I must say that I an extremely impressed at the sound quality of this speaker. To tell the truth I really wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve heard some other, less expensive Bluetooth speakers and was less than impressed with them, which made them sound like a tin can.

However, this AmazonBasics Portable Speaker is just amazing, it’s loud, clear, and the sound is wonderful. You can barely tell that it’s a Bluetooth speaker. While the whole situation of misplaced orders was frustration, the quality of sound more then makes up for the waiting. If your in the process of deciding on whether to buy a Bluetooth speaker or some other speaker system, do yourself a favor, buy the AmazonBasics portable Bluetooth speaker. Sure there are other more expensive speakers, but why spend more hard earned cash when all you need is this one.

In my humble opinion, the speaker is top notch! A+, and you will be doing yourself a disservice if you pick any other speaker. I and thrilled to have finally received it and be completely satisfied with its quality.

This is not a comment on quality from an audio purest, but from someone who wanted a practical way to play music in a hospital room. I cannot tell the difference between this and the JAMBOX. So from a normal listener’s perspective, the price is awesome. The device is easy to use and syncing to my HTC Inspire was dead simple. The sound feedback (e.g. synced, charged, etc.) is appropriate and there are only a few buttons. In listening to Pandora, the forward button on the unit skipped to the next song on the phone.

Bear in mind the device only comes with a very short usb to micro usb cord. I have plenty of longer cords and wall adapters, so this isn’t an issue for me. I’d rather pay less and get what I asked for rather than paying for more and getting a hodgepodge of useless accessories.

This is a good product at a great price. And I’ll certainly update if I see any issues.

この音質でこの値段なんですから、驚くばかりです。
私のスマホとの接続も簡単でしたし、操作もシンプルでわかりやすい。
操作ボタンが多すぎることもなく、動作ごとに音がでてくれるのも、わかりやすさを向上させています。
曲送りがスピーカーでできるのは、便利です。

付属品が充電用のUSBコードだけなのも、嬉しいです。
同じような充電器が家中に増えていくこともないし、不要な付属品にお金を払うこともありません。

一言、これはグレートなスピーカーです。
使っていて何かあれば、また情報を更新したいと思います。
